This structure prevents torsional deformation that can lead to loss of energy and balance by using a thinner profile under the center of the arch. This allows for a certain degree of elasticity in the turn. That simply means it has a livelier feel than its predecessors. The Freeride boot board in the 120 provides a certain amount of shock absorption, making those flat landings a little less painful.
